Engines, engines, engines! Big bore 36hp is 95% done. Started fitting tin on Al’s engine. And tore down a wasserboxer. Not to mention I got rings gapped, rotating assemblies together and cases sent out for vapor honing for two type 4 engines. Just waiting for the Elgin cams to arrive and it’ll be assembly time for those.

Second engine build of the year. Big-bore 36hp with Porsche main bearings. Fitting exhaust for the new j-pipes from @wolfsburgwest.

Stopped by @spokane_rejected shop today and did the proper thing and drove a patina BUS, unlike some people 😁.

Been a minute since I’ve had a pressed bumper bus in the shop. Thanks @61singlecabvw for giving me the opportunity to turn some wrenches on this monster bus!

40 degrees? Clear roads? Time for a rip in the mango!

Had this one in recently (didn’t take any pics of the bus though). Engine was built by a very reputable shop and it dropped a valve seat at about 5,000 miles. And check out the fuel hoses on the injectors that looked new! So I did a top end refresh and they were back on the road.
